Durban – KwaZulu-Natal police have appealed for assistance from the public, following the disappearance of a policewoman from Maqhakaza in Gingindlovu, northern KZN.

Constable Senzeni Msipha, 33, has been missing since January 31, Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane said on Wednesday.

"It is alleged that, on January 31 at about 09:00, she left her home at Maqhakaza area, Gingindlovu to do shopping at the Gingindlovu Mall. However, she never returned home," Zwane said.

Msipha, who works at the Mthunzini police station, is fair in complexion and 1.6m in height, Zwane said.

She was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and black sandals, he said. The clothing she wore on her lower body is unknown.

"When she went missing she was driving her motor vehicle, a Ford Fiesta, which is blue in colour with registration number NRB 66869," he said.

Zwane urged anyone with information that may shed light on her whereabouts to contact investigative officer, Detective Captain Coenie Herbst on 082 411 6646.
