Alicia Foss was named as the new president and CEO of Neighborhood Alliance, according to a news release.

Foss, whose appointment took effect Feb. 5, is a native of Northwest Ohio and brings more than 20 years of management experience, the release said.

She has served the community taking on leadership roles in a number of local non profit organizations, according to the release. She first was exposed to Neighborhood Alliance when she enrolled her daughter in the organization’s Early Intervention Program.

“I am extremely excited to take on the role of CEO at Neighborhood Alliance, and have begun the process of setting goals for the organization moving forward,” Foss said. “Building on the services already in place, I plan to continue collaborating with community partners.

“My focus will be to improve current programming and create new opportunities for organizational growth by addressing the modern needs of the communities served by Neighborhood Alliance.”

Foss replaces former president and CEO Connie Osborn, who announced her retirement Feb. 2 after 20 years with the organization.

“We are excited to have Alicia Foss join neighborhood Alliance as CEO,” said Jeff Hudson, Neighborhood Alliance board chair. “As a former client of the agency, Alicia has a passion and a strong commitment to the mission of Neighborhood Alliance and the members of the community we serve.

“Alicia articulated an inspiring vision for the agency during the selection process that stood out to the board. We look forward to seeing this vision shared with staff, funders and the community and supporting Alicia and our team in achieving it.”

Neighborhood Alliance has served the community since 1927 with a mission of enhancing neighborhoods by addressing the diverse and changing needs of families and individuals alike.
