Auto Expo 2018: Hero debuts the XPulse concept adventure tourer in India

Hero unveiled the XPulse concept motorcycle at EICMA last year and it is again the company's highlight at Auto Expo 2018. Making its debut in India, the off-roader is expected to be the successor to the Hero Impulse which goes on sale later this year.

Hero hadn't mentioned any of the technical specifications of the XPulse the first time around, but we do have a couple of details confirmed now. According to a report by Overdrive, the XPulse 200 will likely sport a 200 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that has been featured by the company on the Xtreme 200R. The Xtreme 200R will also be on display at the Hero pavilion, but the XPulse will surely grab more eyeballs since it is making its debut in India.

The company has also announced that the XPulse 200 will come with a ground clearance of 220 mm, sport spoke wheels and full LED headlamps. The XPulse gets 21-inch tyres on the front wheel, while at the rear, we see an 18-inch tyre. Other features include dual-disk brakes and a fully digital instrument console with navigation support.

We do not know anything yet about the pricing of the off-roader yet, but Hero is expected to reveal a production variant of the motorcycle in and around July this year. Pricing is also expected to be unveiled only later, once the production-spec variant is announced.
