New Delhi, February 7: Congress president Rahul Gandhi will interact with the public at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters in the national capital on Wednesday. The move is aimed to boost to party’s connect with the masses.
“Rahul Gandhiji will meet and interact with the general public from tomorrow (Wednesday),” a party leader had said, IANS reported.
This will be the first time when Rahul will interact with people at the 24, Akbar Road party headquarters in the national capital on a regular basis after he took over the reins of the 132-year-old party from his mother Sonia Gandhi in December 2017.
Rahul has decided to meet office bearers twice a week at the party office and interact with people once a week, sources said.
Even Rahul’s grandmother and former prime minister Indira Gandhi used to meet people at the party office. The Gandhi scion used to hold such sessions at his mother’s 10 Janpath when he first became the party general secretary.
