The world number one, who is currently recovering from a thigh injury, has signed up for the grass-court tournament in London, which he last won in 2008.
In a video posted on Twitter, Nadal said: “I am very excited to communicate that I am going to come to Queen’s in 2018.
“It is going to be the 10th anniversary of my victory in 2008, it’s a great memory, winning there and three weeks later winning Wimbledon.
“It was an unforgettable year. I am very excited to be coming back and playing Queen’s again.”

Nadal last played at Queen’s in 2015 when he crashed out in the first-round to Alex Dolgopolov.
In the past two years, the Spaniard has been forced to withdraw prior to the event due to a wrist injury and fatigue respectively.
Last month, Nadal pulled out of his Australian Open quarter-final against Marin Cilic in the fifth set due to injury.

But the 31-year-old is aiming to return at the Acapulco Open, which starts on February 26.
He said: "It's a small injury that needs time and rest and recovery, and that's what we're doing.
"For the moment my schedule is the same and I think I'll be able to travel to Mexico to play at Acapulco.”
