Huddersfield saw off Birmingham 4-1 last night to set up a fifth round FA Cup tie against Manchester United at home.
The Terriers have already beaten Jose Mourinho’s side once this season, pulling off a shock 2-1 win at Old Trafford.
And David Wagner has revealed he has a plan to ensure victory at the John Smith’s Stadium which involves fouling Alexis Sanchez at every opportunity.
“Every win helps to build up momentum and lift confidence,” Wagner said after beating Birmingham at St Andrew’s.
“We are very happy to be in the next round to play Manchester United at home
“The fifth round is never a distraction, it is something not only the players but the supporters and whole town can enjoy.”
Huddersfield struggled to deal with Sanchez last weekend as the Red Devils ran out 2-0 winners in the Premier League clash, with the Chilean getting on the scoresheet.
And when asked if the Terriers would have a plan to handle United’s new signing this time around, Wagner insisted they would.
“If he will be on the pitch then we try to defend him and if this means sometimes he is too quick, we have to foul him,” he added.
“It is not something that we like to do but this happens and it is because he is a top-quality player.”
