CASTLE HAYNE -- A Castle Hayne man sought in a Feb. 1 kidnappingsurrendered to authorities Tuesday.

Braxton Edward Beaver, 20, is charged with second-degree kidnapping, assault on a female and injury to personal property in a domestic-related incident that occurred in the Wrightsboro area last week.

According to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, Beaver allegedly assaulted his girlfriend by forcing her into a car at his home at 2630 Castle Hayne Road and driving her to Carolina Beach.

Beaver also had several other outstanding warrants for drug violations.

His bail is set at $30,000.
