After an indifferent season by his high standards, Ronaldo has rediscovered his goalscoring touches, netting four times in his past three matches.
After being knocked out of the Copa del Rey quarter-finals by Legates and sitting 19 points behind Barcelona in the table, the Portuguese hasn’t had much to shout about.
And Match of the Day pundit Lineker made a surprising selection when he suggested there are three forwards better than Ronaldo.
When asked in an interview with Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo who is better Ronaldo or Messi?, he replied: “I like Cristiano a lot, but Messi is from another world.”

Lineker also admitted he has been mystified by Real Madrid’s form this term.
He said: “I'm surprised, I do not know what happened with Real this season because last season, they won almost everything.
“It's hard to explain, confidence is very important for the players, maybe some players are a bit older, I don't know if that's it.”
