Dubai: Emirates Airline will support the full card of six races meeting of the Jebel Ali scheduled to be held on Feb.9.

The slated races, named as Umm Suqueim meeting, feature five competitive handicaps and a maiden race.

Sheikh Majid Al Mulla, Emirates Senior Vice-President, Commercial Operations, said: Emirate reaffirms its support to Jebel Ali Racecourse by sponsoring a full six race card.

“Sport sponsorship is very important to us at Emirates and, as you all know, we sponsor a meeting annually at Jebel Ali as part of our vast portfolio. Horse racing is a very important component of that, with the Emirates Dubai World Cup and Melbourne Cup among the obvious standouts. “We believe that sports sponsorship is an excellent way of connecting with our sponsors, by sharing in and supporting their interest and passions,” he added.

Shareef Al Halawani, Jebel Ali Racecourse Manager, thanked Emirates for their support of Friday’s races.
