Ranveer Singh is undoubtedly the man of the hour, post his brilliant performance in Padmaavat. While he has always been a phenomenal actor, this was the first time that the actor played an antagonist on screen and left everyone in awe with his portrayal of the menacing and the ruthless Delhi Sultanate ruler, Sultan Alauddin Khilji. While he is enjoying every bit of the attention that’s coming his way, he has already started shooting for his next project, Gully Boy with filmmaker Zoya Akhtar and co-star, Alia Bhatt. Besides, he has a few other interesting projects lined up, namely, Kabir Khan’s Kapil Dev biopic titled 83 and Rohit Shetty‘s Simmba.

We are particularly waiting to see Ranveer in Rohit Shetty’s film, as the actor himself has admitted several times in the past, that he is born to do films that fall under this genre—high octane action dramas that Shetty is known to make. As it was already revealed in the film’s first look poster, Ranveer will be seen essaying the role of a cop called Sangram Bhalerao. Now, a leading tabloid has reported that the actor will be shooting a special video soon to introduce his character to the audiences. Apparently, the actor will be seen surrounded by several dholwallahs from Nashik. Isn’t that exciting? (ALSO READ : Janhvi Kapoor NOT To Romance Ranveer Singh In Rohit Shetty’s Simmba)

A source in the know was quoted as saying, “He will make a stylish entry to the hoot of ‘Aala re aala Simmba aala.’ The idea to introduce Ranveer in his new avatar stems from the fact that it’s been a while since he has been seen in an action-packed masala movie.” Needless to say, Ranveer too is looking forward to collaborate with Shetty. In an earlier interview, he had said, “”I have admired Rohit sir’s work for a very long time now. We also have Karan Johar as the producer in this film. It’s a genre or brand of cinema that I thoroughly love. Of course, socially, I interact with people who are the ‘multiplex audience’, but my heart is ‘massy’ and that’s actually what I get a huge kick out of.” So are you excited for this film, which will undoubtedly be a high voltage mainstream film.
