MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The Lake Superior Community Partnership took a look back at their history Wednesday during the LSCP’s annual meeting.

It has been 20 years now since the founding of LSCP. During Wednesday's meeting, they recapped this past year's accomplishments, as well as the past 20 years. Nearly 60 businesses were recognized for their participation in the "Plus One" program.

“One of the things we started in 2006 was the ‘Plus One’ program, recognizing small businesses who add one, two, four people a year into their business,” said CEO Amiy Clickner. “That commitment is huge for small business, and when you total it all together those are big employment numbers in our community and deserve to be recognized.”
