Bhopal: “I kept my mouth shut and did nothing because he (MLA Hemant Katare) had my photographs and videos and if they would have been released, my mother could have committed suicide, said the rape victim, after coming out of jail on Tuesday. 21-year old journalism student, who was in jail for 13 days for allegedly extorting money from Katare, was granted bail on Monday. On the complaint of the girl, police on Friday had booked Congress MLA on charges of abduction and rape.

Addressing a press conference soon after her release, the girl, flanked by her advocate Akash Telang, levelled serious allegations against crime branch police officials. Refuting all audio and video messages making rounds on social media, the aspiring journalist stated that only one video in which she is seen wearing a black dress is hers.

“The video was shot twice and the police officials including ASP Rashmi Mishra, one lady sub inspector and one police officer (man) forced me to say whatever they wanted and later released the video,” she claimed. She demanded forensic examination of the videos and the audios messages. The girl also narrated the story of her meeting with the MLA and all his misdeeds. She also spoke about alleged ploys and plans made by crime branch police against her.

Claiming that Vikranjeet Singh is an ally of Hemant Katare, the girl said that Vikarmjeet had come to her with an offer to settle the matter. I had not known him before and he is not my associate, she said, adding that MLA and police laid a trap to frame her.

At last she accepted having some evidences against the MLA. The evidences have left the MLA worried but “I will present the evidences in the court when the time will come, she added. The girl also claimed that she doesn’t know any politician whose name is being connected with her. “Today I am standing alone, I cannot be used as a political tool, we are living in rented house and the house owner is compelling us to vacant the house, nobody is helping us”.
