You tore India into pieces: 20 barbs PM Modi directed at Congress in Lok Sabha

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on fire today. Through the deafening slogans of opposition members, Modi spoke at the Lok Sabha today and got back at Congress for the many recent accusations, possibly including the Rafale fighter aircraft deal.

Here are a few hot-as-they-come jibes PM Modi made against Congress at he Lok Sabha today:

• "When Atal Bihari Vajpayee divided states, the decision was farsighted and the process was smooth...but when you [the Congress party] divided states, you left the country torn in pieces."
• "Even after 70 years of Independence, 125 crore Indians still have to pay every single day for the sins Congress committed... You kept the Parliament closed for the sake of elections."
• "We were in support of the creation and progress of Telangana too, but the way you divided it from Andhra Pradesh in a hurry for the sake of elections is the reason there is still tension."
• "There was a time the radio only played your tune...the TV coverage was on your side...you had influence in the judiciary...all from Parliament to panchayat was under your control. But you concentrated in the growth of only one family.
