The 52-year-old controversial telly host announced that he's officially bowed out of presenting duties.

Piers Morgan hasn't stepped away from Good Morning Britain forever – and he'll be back by his on-screen wife Susanna Reid's side before we know it.
The dad-of-four revealed the news at the end of today's programme when Susanna picked up on Piers' shock joy.

Susanna laughed: "You're only happy because you're going away for a short break."
"Yes," Piers confirmed, "I'm going to film more for my Serial Killer series."
He added: "I won't be back for a long time now so you can relax."
However Piers didn't confirm exactly how long he'd be away for, so diehard fans will have to keep tuning into the breakfast show until he returns.

This isn't the first time Piers has temporarily left his GMB duties – he previously took time off to film his series Serial Killer and he was absent for around three weeks.
Telly legend Richard Madly had to fill Piers' shoes back in October.
And back in July, Eamonn Holmes poached his spot.
The 58-year-old took over the show with Charlotte Hawkins so Piers could sun himself on his holidays.
After Piers' last Serial Killer series aired, he told Daily Star Online that he could be swayed to change careers.
He said: "I think I would be a detective or a lawyer if I wasn't a journalist.

"I find it very intriguing and trying to unravel them and nail them, that must be very satisfying.
"When they get these cold cases, and they cant solve them, and then DNA comes in and you can nail them, it must be great, and to say to the families, we've got him, it is like a journalist getting the scoop."
Let's hope Piers hasn't set his sights on life away from GMB.
