Fans wait for hours to buy Eagles SEPTA passes
Eagles fans waited for as much as three hours Tuesday to purchase special Eagles SEPTA commuter train passes at the Paoli train station. Shortly before 7 p.m. the line spanned around the waiting room, out the door and around the building as hundreds of people lined up to buy the tickets which would allow them to take regional rail to the Eagles victory celebration Thursday in Philadelphia.
Eagles commemorative bobbleheads expected to be in high demand
There is a lot of fan merchandise sold relating to the NFL and the Super Bowl, and for the last 15 years one popular tradition has been the creation of a line of bobblehead collectibles in honor of the winning team.

Governor’s budget proposal faces familiar GOP objections
Gov. Tom Wolf’s final budget proposal of his term Tuesday set the stage for familiar battles with the Republican-controlled Legislature over imposing an extraction tax on Marcellus Shale natural gas and increasing the minimum wage. But state Rep. Alex Charlton, R-165 of Springfield, said there also weren’t any far-reaching objectives outlined in Wolf’s address to the General Assembly that might derail negotiations.
Sunoco appeals DEP suspension; donations pour in for risk assessment
State Sen. Andy Dinniman said Tuesday that residents’ plans to obtain an independent risk assessment of Sunoco Pipeline’s Mariner East 2 pipeline are moving forward. “Residents impacted by the pipeline and members of local and regional citizens groups have really hit the ground running on this,” said Dinniman, D-19. “There’s much more work ahead, but thanks to the efforts of so many, we’ve already made great progress in only a short time.”
D.A.: Bill Cosby request to dismiss charges ‘premature and meritless’
Prosecutors argue Bill Cosby’s claim that sexual assault charges should be dismissed against him because prosecutors can’t prove the alleged incident occurred within the statute of limitations is “premature and meritless.” Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele argued in court papers that the criminal complaint lodged against Cosby clearly identifies the relevant timeframe.

Code Blue extended for Montgomery County into Friday
A Code Blue Cold Weather Declaration has been extended for Montgomery County. The Montgomery County Commissioners, on the advice of the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, have declared an extension of the Code Blue Cold Weather Emergency for Montgomery County based on a review of forecasts from the National Weather Service.

Another win for delirious Philly: Embiid, Sixers top Wizards
The still-celebrating Philadelphia sports fans gave the 76ers a big boost on Tuesday night. Joel Embiid had 27 points and 12 rebounds and Philadelphia led from start to finish in a 115-102 victory over the Washington Wizards.

S.E. Pennsylvania stands in for New England in ‘Dollar Baby’ adaptation of Stephen King story
Since the late 1970s, horror master Stephen King has encouraged aspiring filmmakers with something he calls Dollar Babies. King explains on his website: “These stories are not under contract for movies, which means they are available for film students who want to try their hands at a Stephen King story. If you want to be one of my dollar babies, send us your info.” He temporarily grants the rights to adapt those short stories for independent films for just $1.
