SOMERSWORTH — Dinner, a book and an evening of family fun are on tap when the Somersworth Middle School and elementary schools host district K-8 Family Dinner and Game Night.
According to a statement, the popular annual event will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Idlehurst Elementary School.
Family Dinner and Game Night is hosted by the District Family Engagement Committee, Somersworth Youth Connect, Title I and PTA.
Upon arrival at Idlehurst families are given a map listing the activities spread throughout the school from games in the gym, to puzzles and brain-teasers in the cafetorium.
SYC Director Maureen Jackman said the evening is sure to be filled with many games, activities and challenges for the entire family.
“Get out of the cold and warm up with math and word game challenges, brain teasers, trivia, cribbage, chess, kahoot, and gym game favorites, to name a few,” Jackman said.
This free family event will include "Farm to Table" dining, a free book for every student and “make and take” activities.
Jackman said all children must be accompanied by an adult.
