Jayla Smith scored 20 points to help lead the Smyrna High School girls basketball team to a 50-27 win at Milford Tuesday.

The Eagles jumped out to a 15-2 lead in the first quarter and extended the margin to 26-8 at halftime.

Along with Smith's performance, six more players scored for the Eagles.

Marqueisha Bennett poured in 10. Jennifer Sloven netted 6. Michelle Carney scored 5. Marissa McClenton had 4. Haley Harper hit for 3, and Erin Richard added 2.

NEXT GAMES: The Eagles, now 4-12, will play at Caesar Rodney Friday, Feb. 9 at 4 p.m., then travel to St. Georges Tech Monday, Feb. 12 for a 5 p.m. game.
