SARASOTA — The car that killed a 36-year-old Hialeah woman walking along Fruitville Road last month was determined to be a Mazda 3 made between 2004 and 2009, according to Sarasota Police Department detectives.

Gisela Stainin, 36, of Hialeah was killed in the hit-and-run crash on Jan. 27. Her body was found in the 4000 block of Fruitville Road by a passerby.

The Sarasota Police Department is investigating the crash.

Officers are looking for a Mazda 3 with right front-end damage. They do not know the actual color of the car involved in the crash.
