The C’garh Assembly paid obituary references to ex- C’garh Governor Dinesh Nandan Sahay and Speaker of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly in undivided Madhya Pradesh Sriniwas Tiwari on Tuesday.
In his address, CM Raman Singh said that late Governor Dinesh Nandan Sahay provided valuable service to the State.
He said that the Governor had huge responsibilities being in that post.
The Chief Minister said that late Speaker Sriniwas Tiwari was elected to the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha in 1952.
He said that nobody had been able to break the late Speaker's record of delivering longest speech in the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha so far.
Leader of Oppn T S Singhdeo said that late Governor Dinesh Nandan Sahay served in the post from 2000 to 2003 and "his presence made all of us proud in Chhattisgarh."
He said that everybody was scared of late Speaker Sriniwas Tiwari who set a record by giving a speech for seven hours in the MP Assembly which was listened to by all in the House.
