A Memorandum of Understanding was signed recently between Manav Rachna University (MRU) and Xebia, a Dutch-based specialised global IT Consultancy and Services Company. Under this collaboration, MRU will offer two new-age digital programmes— BTech in Computer Science and Engineering with specialisation in Data Science and Machine Learning and BTech in Computer Science and Engineering with specialisation in Digital Transformation Engineering.

The MoU was signed between Dr Sanjay Srivastava, VC, MRU and Anand Sahay, director and CEO of Xebia in the presence of Ashok Fenn, executive director, Xebia; Shashi Prakash, director alliances, Xebia; Jaydeep Singh, senior adviser, Xebia; Dr VK Mahna, ED, Quality Assurance, MREI; Dr Meenakshi Khurana, PVC, MRU and other senior functionaries.

Xebia will support MRU in curriculum design, faculty training and provide internships and placements for students pursuing the above programmes that shall be offered from the Academic Session 2018-19.

The curricula for the BTech specialisation in Digital Transformation Engineering is created with an intent to educate the engineering students on the cutting-edge technologies,  besides learning about HTML5, angular4, test automation, estimation techniques, agile practices, and cloud computing. The programme on Data Science and Machine Learning will focus on enhancing mathematical foundations, statistical foundations, machine learning, neural networks, and applied artificial intelligence.
