Early bird passes are now on sale at Point Pelee National Park in Leamington.
The passes that allow entrance to the park for the entire year cost $66.75 for a car with up to seven people or $29.40 for one adult, $25.75 for one senior age 65 and over. They are on sale until March 31 at the park or by calling 519-322-2365.
Prices rise beginning in April, to $78.50 for an annual family pass, $39.20 for an adult and $34.30 for a senior.
The federal government is also offering free admission to all Parks Canada locations for children and youth 17 years of age and under.
As well, 24 oTENTiks camping accommodations are available for overnight stays. To book a stay, visit the Parks Canada website at reservation.pc.gc.ca or call 1-877-737-3783.
The Northwest Beach pavilion and the White Pine picnic area can be reserved for events. And group tent camping is also available by calling the park.
Point Pelee, located at the southernmost point of the Canadian mainland, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. One of Canada’s smallest national parks, it attracted approximately 535,000 visitors in 2017.
The park is open daily from 7 a.m. to sunset. The visitor’s centre is open on weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Daily admission during the winter months is $6.05 for an adult, $5.40 for seniors or $11.75 per group.
