Liverpool’s goalkeepers have been routinely criticised this term, and it is widely thought that Jurgen Klopp should upgrade on Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet.
Alisson was on the Reds’ radar during the January transfer window, and it is likely Klopp could resurrect his interest.
Although a significant proportion of the money has been spent (£75million) on Virgil van Dijk, a new keeper appears to be a priority.
AC Milan shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarrumma has also been touted as a potential possibility.

Is Alisson worth €50m? Don’t be silly, he’s worth far more than that,
But as far as Alisson is concerned, former Roma coach Roberto Negrisolo is in no doubt about how much Liverpool will have to shell out should they wish to sign him.
“Is Alisson worth €50m? Don’t be silly, he’s worth far more than that,” he told Italian paper Il Romanista.
“I don’t think many people have realised who Alisson is. This guy is a phenomenon. He is the number one of number ones. He is the Messi of goalkeepers, because he has the same mentality as Messi. He is a goalkeeper who can mark an era.
“There is absolutely no comparison with Gianluigi Donnarumma, because Alisson is extraordinary.

“The first time I saw him play, he wasn’t yet on the Roma books.
“I watched him play for Brazil and he made an enormous impression on me.
“The way he behaves in the goal, he reminds me of Dino Zoff.
“I’d also compare him to former Belgium star Michel Preud-Homme, who had the class of someone born to be a goalkeeper.”
Despite sitting third in the Premier League table, Liverpool have conceded 31 times this term.
