Storyteller, historian to host workshop in Pequot Lakes

Pequot Lakes Community Education will host storyteller and historial Alan Bohme, who will present "Myths, Legends and Truths of the Brainerd Lakes Area" from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, in Pequot Lakes High School Room K114.

Fee is $5.

Many have heard Al Capone hung out at Breezy Point, that there are bodies of mob enemies wrapped in chains at the bottom of some of the lakes and that the Brainerd lakes area was the place to get alcohol during Prohibition. What is true, legend or myth? Are all the stories true or just parts that have grown into folklore?

Find out the truths behind the stories.
