Nashoba swimmers set school marks

 

Nashoba Regional’s swim and dive team set several school records during the Mid-Wach League Invitational on Feb. 4.

Overall, Nashoba, a co-op with Hudson, Marlborough and Clinton, finished sixth in the boys team score and 10th out of 12 in the girls team score.

The boy’s 200 free relay - Aidan Gross, Liam Pyatt, Ben Kalber and Jake Eastman placed third with a school record time of 1 minute, 34.87 seconds.

The same group placed third in the boy’s 400-yard freestyle relay with a school record time of 3:35.76.

Senior captain Gillian Campbell placed 10th in the girl’s 200 free with a time of 2:18.34 and also tied for 11th place in the girl’s 500 free with a school record time of 6:15.43

Senior Captain Samantha Cirillo placed 12th in the girls 100 back with a school record and personal best of 1:09.55. She also set a school record in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:01.23.

In other boys results, sophomore Quinn Gross placed sixth in the boy’s 200 free with a time of 2:04.69. Quinn also placed 12th in the boy’s 500 free with a time of 5:43.89.

Pyatt placed third in the boy’s 200 IM with a time of 2:09.78 and also placed fourth in the boy’s 100 back with a time of 58.37.

Kalber placed eighth in the boy’s 200 IM with a time of 2:21.07 and ninth in the boy’s 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:12.66

Eastman placed third in the boy’s 50 free with a time of 23.47 and also placed third in the boy’s 100 fly with a time of 55.85.

Senior captain Aidan Gross placed 13th in the boy’s 50 free with a time of 25.16.

The girls 200 medley relay of Samantha Cirillo, Emma Sullivan, Sarah Ladd, and Gillian Campbell placed seventh with a season best, sectionals qualifying time of 2:07.45

Sullivan tied for 12th in the girl’s 50 free with a time of 28.48. She also placed eighth in the girl’s 100 breaststroke with a personal best time of 1:19.98.

Junior Sarah Ladd placed eleventh in the girl’s 100 fly with a personal best time of 1:12.69

The girl’s 200 free relay of Molly Trunfio, Gillian Campbell, Emma Sullivan, and Samantha Cirillo placed eighth with a time of 1:52.94.
