SANTA CRUZ — Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man suspected in the armed robbery of a Santa Cruz bank.

On Jan. 10, a man wearing a hood and black sunglasses entered the US Bank at 110 Morrissey Blvd. According to Santa Cruz police, the man flashed a gun to the teller and demanded cash. He left on foot with an unknown amount of cash.

The man is described as white, 6 feet tall with a slender build, last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt beneath a brown jacket, light brown pants and light brown boots.

Police released security photos of the man’s face and are asking anyone who can help identify the man to contact the Santa Cruz Police Department Investigation Division at (831) 420-5820.

Police are asking that anyone who sees the man to immediately call 911 and not to attempt to contact him. He is considered armed and dangerous.
