BHUBANESWAR: Parents of
DAV Public School, Unit-VIII, on Monday expressed displeasure over the hike in school fees from the coming academic session. They alleged that the school authorities did not consult them on the hike.
In 2016-17, the school authorities had raised fees by more than 21% while for 2017-18 they have proposed a hike of around 28%. "The school did not consult the parents' association," said a parent, requesting anonymity.
A second parent alleged that another leading school had hiked its fees for implementing various safety guidelines issued by the CBSE. The school authorities did not take calls despite repeated attempts.
