Claire Danes On 'Homeland' Vs. Reality: 'It's 'Hard To Compete'

Claire Danes dished all about season seven of her hit show Homeland while making an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday (February 5) in New York City.
“We’re still filming. We focus kind of on Russian interference,” the 38-year-old actress revealed to Stephen, who joked about Russian interference being a hoax. “I think we can accept that they’ve been involved in determining our fate to a certain extent.”
“Our show used to be kind of a horrifying vision of what could be and now it’s like a tonic,” Claire added. “It’s like a little escapism, like ‘cuddle up with your bunny,’ you know. It’s hard to compete with the reality.”
Claire also told Stephen that the coolest part of preparing for her role as Carrie Mathison is the annual weekend getaway to meet actual members of the intelligence community during “Spy Camp.”
