Two men from Manchester have been charged with drugs offences after police seized cocaine, cannabis and amphetamine worth £5m.

Police discovered the drugs during an investigation into the supply of illicit substances in Middlesbrough.

GMP said 45g of cocaine, 20kg of cannabis and 20kg of amphetamine were seized - as well as £600,000 in cash.

The operation was led by the North West Regional Crime Unit and Cleveland Police’s Serious and Organised Crime Team.

Marcus Callaghan, 33, of Newcastle Street, Hulme, and Theo Henry, 30, of Knowl Street, Stalybridge, have both been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A and Class B drugs.

Thomas Jaffray, 35, of The Greenway, Middlesbrough, and Steven Sewell, 38, of Colemore Avenue, Middlesbrough, have both been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

All four were due to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
