Ruby Adams, 69, Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN — Ruby Lois Adams, 69, of Johnstown, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 3, 2018, at Knox Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 10 at 11 a.m. at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem, with pastor Floyd Costello officiating. Burial will be in Congress Cemetery.

Friends will be received Friday, Feb. 9 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, or one hour prior to the services Saturday. Online condolences may be shared at mattesonfh.com.

Ruby was born in Wooster on July 2, 1948, the daughter of Edgar and Juanita (Smith) Adams, and was a 1969 graduate of Northwestern High School and Canton College in 1972, where she received an accounting degree.

She was a homemaker all her life, and enjoyed playing bingo, going to concerts, the Wayne County Fair and the Ohio State Fair.

Surviving are her siblings, David (Karen) Adams of Wooster, Kirby (Janice) Adams of Georgia and Hazel (Louise) Pelfrey of Portsmouth; a sister-in-law, Eileen Adams of California; her fiance, Don Donahue of Johnstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her parents; a brother, Ronnie; a niece; and a brother-in-law, Don Pelfrey, died previously.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date in Johnstown.
