The Jr. Saints battled Christian Ministries Academy the opening round that produced a close brawl. Although the Jr. Saints fought hard, CMA would prevail 51-41 with GMCS ending their season at state.
The Jr. Saints trailed CMA 28-17 at halftime, but GMCS outscored CMA in the second half 24-23 for third and fourth quarters combine. In the end, CMA went onto the 10-point win to advance.
For the game, Jr. Saints' Grayson Chambless led scoring with 13 points and Sergio Luna added 10 points for double-figures. Alex Peek and Will Zumwalt each scored seven points apiece and Matthew Lloyd finished with four points.
The Jr. Saints finished the season 7-1 in conference to earn the No. 2 seed going into the state tournament.
