Paul Roberts

On December 23, 2017, Paul James Roberts, a one time resident of Findlay, went home to be with God.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, son of Paul Edward and Eveline Rose (MacDonald) Roberts. Paul later became the son of Ebenezer and Hilda (Roberts) John of Findlay, Ohio. Paul was a 1958 graduate of Findlay High School and served in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. He was a computer specialist for Honeywell 1967-1985 in Dayton and Senior Program Analyst with RCF, Inc 1985-2002.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents and guardians. His Great Aunt Zuma O. (Roberts) John. One sister, Janet Rose Holmes (Richard) of Vancouver, Washington who recently passed on January 18.
He is survived by his sister, Phyllis Sherick (Tom) of Comanche, Texas, his first wife, Beatrice Claire Roberts (Thall), of Whiting, New Jersey and their four children, James (Lou Ann) Roberts of Marietta,Ohio, William (Melissa) Roberts of Tipp City, David (Julie) Roberts of Dayton and Keith (Julie) Roberts of Englewood, and his wife, Shirley Curts Roberts, of Ehrenberg, Arizona and their daughter Brigitte Kate Roberts of Naugatuck, Connecticut.
He is also survived by grandchildren Matthew (Alexandra) Roberts of Bloomington, Indiana, Andrew and Embrey Roberts, Justin, Brandon, and Caleb Roberts, Kyle, Jordan, and Noah Roberts, Keegan and Delaney Roberts, and Lucas Dombkowski.
Paul was an active member of his various churches ministering as a youth director, Bible study leader and pastor at the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Tipp City, The Vineyard in Englewood, Ohio, Arizona Oasis CG and Calvary Chapel in Blythe, California.
He enjoyed carpentry projects in his woodshop, photography and studying and sharing the Bible.
He cherished his time with family and friends.
There will be a full veterans outdoor service honoring the life of Paul James Roberts at the VA National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio on February 15 at 2:30 P.M.
The family will receive friends at the Community Bible Church in Tipp City from 6:00 – 8:00. Donations can be made in Paul’s name to Gospel for Asia.
