THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former minister E P Jayarajan said in the Assembly on February that some persons are trying to assassinate her character as part of political vendetta. His son has not taken money on loan from any bank. He only tried to help Atlas Ramachandran’s son-in-law Arun.

“My son is running Royal Diesel Company in Gulf. Arun told him to do some financial adjustment to help him come out of his financial crisis. Thus my son gave a cheque, using which Arun withdrew money from the bank. When my son questioned the reason for withdrawing money, Arun gave back a cheque in the name of his wife. When this was presented at the bank, it bounced and Atlas Ramachandran, daughter and son-in-law landed in jail.

Jayarajan added that his son was being blamed for no mistake of his.
