Cape Town Moves Tap Closure 'Day Zero' To May After Decline in Agricultural UseCape Town officials announced that thanks to a decrease in agricultural use, the new projections for "Day Zero" were pushed back from April 16 to May 11, according to CNN. The infamous date that the city's taps are expected to be turned off was altered according to Executive Deputy Mayor Ian Neilson who said that the agricultural sector uses its allotment from the same supply system the city uses for its water. Neilson also said that the decrease did not mean that residents of the nation's second most-populous city had to end their restrictions.
