Car hits school bus in Eastlake; no injuries reported

No one was injured after a Toyota Corolla struck a school bus Feb. 6 in Eastlake.

According to Eastlake police, at 7:25 a.m. the 17-year-old driver of a Toyota Corolla turned the corner at Willowick Drive and Stevens Boulevard too quickly, sliding in the slushy roadway, and struck the bus.

The front of the Toyota got wedged under the front of the bus.

Two students who were on the bus were transported to school by another bus that arrived at the scene. The parents of the children were notified, police said.

The juvenile driver was given a citation for failure to control.
