Mabib to start fibre roll-out in Land of Altena

Dutch operator Mabib is going ahead with plans to roll out a fibre network in the Brabant towns of Aalburg, Werkendam and Woudrichem, known as the Land of Altena. The pre-marketing campaign attracted 51 percent of residents, just ahead of the 50 percent target. Caiway, Cbizz, Kliksafe, Libernet, Solcon and WeServe will offer services over the network. 

Contractor Van Gelder expects to start construction work in April-May, depending on weather conditions, and the build should be completed by the end of 2018.
