A fifth former football player from a private Christian school in suburban St. Louis school has been convicted of pulling sleeping teammates from their beds and sexually assaulting them with objects that included pencils.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 20-year-old Joshua Brewer entered a plea Monday to a reduced felony assault charges. He'll spend at least four months of "shock time" before a judge decides whether to release him on probation.
His attorney described what happened during a 2014 summer sports camp as "stupid, immature and juvenile." One prosecutor called it a "night of terror."
Three other players from Principia School previously entered pleas for short stints behind bars. Jurors found a fifth player guilty of a felony sodomy charge, and he was sentenced to five years in prison.
