Google Maps - created in 2007 - is often used by people to plan their routes and explore the world from the seat of their chair.
With most countries now mapped, it offers an extensive look at the world.
It has also been used by alien-believers who think they have spotted extra-terrestrial lifeforms.

Found at location 80°34'08.4"S 30°05'19.3”W, a small dent can be seen in the snow with no other tracks around it.
Spotted by Russian UFO-enthusiast Valentin Degterev, he believes that the spot is the marking of alien lifeforms.
It measures at 65 feet wide and 230 feet long, making it large enough for a vessel to have created.
Degterev explained on Russian social media website VK: “I think there is very large disc-shaped flying machine among the frozen ice.”

Experts have since debunked the claims that it is from something out of this world.
Andrew Fleming from the British Antarctic Survey told MailOnline: “A crevasse is a lot of ice formed by differential movement of the ice.
“They can be tens of metres deep. It's one large slot, nothing unusual, but they are spectacular.
“It's certainly not a UFO, though.”

It isn’t the only site in Antarctica that is believed to be hiding alien lifeforms.
A large block of ice, measuring around 500 metres, is believed to be something else entirely.
The iceberg doesn’t match a description of other icebergs, not falling into the category or tabular or non-tabular.
UFO-enthusiasts believe this means that it is instead a vessel which is disguised as an iceberg.
