Sheriff’s Office Arrests

• 5:14 a.m. Friday, 1700 block of K-68, Malinda Manis, 46, Ottawa, on suspicion of driving under the influence, after driving her Dodge passenger car into a ditch.

• 7:08 p.m. Friday, 400 block of West Second Street, Pomona, a Pomona man reported a relative had a physical altercation with several members of his family. Brandon Simmonds, 37, Pomona, later was arrested in connection with the incident, after a traffic stop.

• 10:15 a.m. Friday, Ottawa Municipal Court, 715 W. Second St., Angel Kilbury, 27, Iola, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 3:50 p.m. Friday, Franklin County Adult Detention Center, 305 S. Main St., Brandon Ellsmore, 31, Kansas City, Missouri, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 10:45 p.m. Friday, 1200 block of South Ash Street, a 72-year-old Ottawa woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. She was released, pending test results. The case is under investigation. • 12:15 a.m. Saturday, 100 block of South Oak Street, Bradley Butter, 30, Ottawa, on suspicion of disorderly conduct, interference with law enforcement, and battery on law enforcement.

• 10:01 a.m. Saturday, 600 block of North Cleveland Street, Riley Yount, 20, Ottawa, on suspicion of domestic battery, after an altercation.

• 10:57 p.m. Sunday, 300 block of South Sycamore Street, Brandon Clark, 28, Ottawa, on a City of Ottawa warrant

Thefts

• 7:40 a.m. Friday, 600 block of Taylor Street, Pomona, a 28-year-old Pomona man reported someone entered his residence through a window and stole property valued at $800.

Accidents

• Sunday, no time given, a 2009 Chrysler driven by Mykaela Haynes, 19, Bel Aire, was southbound on I-35, following a 2017 Toyota driven by Nicole Marks, 32, Derby. The Chrysler struck the Toyota from behind when it slowed for traffic. No injuries were reported. There was minor damage.

• 11 p.m. Saturday, 600 block of East Logan Street, a 40-year-old woman reported she was injured by a known suspect during an argument. The case is under investigation.

Thefts

• 8:01 a.m. Friday, Trendel Lumber Co., 1516 S. Main St., a 44-year-old Ottawa man reported someone stole lumber from the business. The case is under investigation.

Accidents

• 7:59 a.m. Friday, 600 block of West 15th Street, a 2010 Nissan driven by Garrett Frits, 24, Ottawa, struck a 2014 Ford driven by Cameron Hartman, 29, Ottawa. No injuries were reported.

• 2:17 p.m. Friday, 400 block of South Main Street, a 2014 Hyundai driven by Danielle Spain, 40, Ottawa, backed into a 2006 Chevrolet driven by Kathryn Lee, 70, Ottawa. No injuries were reported. Spain was cited for improper backing.

• 11:15 a.m. Sunday, I-35 at milepost 183, a 2006 Chevrolet pulling a horse trailer jack-knifed and the trailer detached from the truck before rolling. No injuries were reported. The Chevrolet had minor damage.
