Carpool Karaoke king James Corden has revealed he's ready to quit Hollywood and return to the UK.

The Late Late Show host opened up about concerns that his parents are missing out on watching his three children grow up, and how he struggles with being so far away from them, particularly as they're getting older.

He told Event magazine: "I'm almost certain we won't live here forever. Right now is the only time since we moved here when I've experienced homesickness.

"For a while it was lovely. For a time it's great. With young kids it feels like a really great place to live. But then? I don't know."

Either way, Corden isn't going anywhere anytime soon - he's been hosting The Late Late Show in Hollywood since 2015 and is under contract there until 2020. He also recently moved into a new $14.3 million mansion in Los Angeles.

Still, come 2020, Corden could well return to England.

He continued: "I'm unbelievably conscious that this is all great, amazing. But at some point, the phone is going to ring and we're going to feel a million miles away from people who might need us. That's what weighs on my mind. The money is lovely, but time is the only thing that actually exists.

"It's the only currency you're ever dealing with, and all you've ever got is this point right now. Time with people, time to do stuff — it's the only thing that matters."

Corden married producer Julia Carey in 2012 and they have three kids, Max, 6; Carey, 3, and two-month-old Charlotte.
