SAN JOSE — A man and a woman were fatally shot south of downtown San Jose late Monday night, police said.
At about 10:50 p.m., officers responded to a multiple calls of a shooting at South First Street and East Alma Avenue, where a Denny’s restaurant is located. Officers found a man and a woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound each. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Additional details about the shooting, including a possible motive, were not immediately available.
There were no reports that police were searching for a suspect.
Homicide detectives were dispatched to the scene to investigate the shooting, police said.
