My wife and I moved to the Village about four years ago. We love it. There are a lot of wonderful people here and we have been privileged to meet many of them from all over the U.S.
We bought a home on the Balboa Golf Course. When we first moved here we were told the POA had decided to refurbish the golf course which would include putting in new cart paths, new sprinkler system and refurbishing the club house. Since we have been here this project continues to be put off for new projects.
I am no different than anyone who lives on Cortez, Magellan, Granada or any of the other golf courses.
I would like to see the property of Hot Springs Village that we have invested in maintained.
I don’t know if any of the POA members have recently driven on the cart paths, but the potholes, cracks and repaired holes are tearing the golf carts to pieces.
Last summer there were ropes in the fairways to prevent the golf carts from falling in the ditches that had to be left open all summer because of the problems with the sprinkler system. The beautiful clubhouse that was once one of the nicest is becoming an eyesore and needs to be repainted and repaired.
Rather than maintaining the property that Villagers have invested in, the POA seems more interested in funding new projects.
Isn’t it more important for the community to maintain what has already been built and retain the value of the property that people have already invested in?
I would like to say that Juan Nunez does an excellent job on the fairways, greens and bunkers in spite of the poor sprinkler system.
