A 10-day special 'Backstage Craft Oriented' workshop will be organised by Vihaan Drama Works at Arushi premises from Tuesday. Notably from backstage to theatre art on stage everything is being taught in the workshop.
The workshop is being organised under its series Theatritics 18. The enthusiastic youngsters will be given training in the art of backstage.
Besides, in this training session, music, dance, writing, motif, stage-building, light-handling etc. will be used in experimental dialogue. Young artists Shweta Ketkar, Hemant Devlekar, Sudeep Sohoni and Saurabh will give guidance in the workshop.
Talking about it, Hemant Deolekar said that the workshop is being organized for the youngsters to learn the basics and necessary tips of theatre art. The theatre experts are giving a proper training to the students.
They will be taught the make-up techniques, how to use the props and properties, speech therapy, improvisation of stories, body movements, facial expression with dialogue, footwork on music along with other experimental exercises are being taught by noted theatre personalities of the city.
Further, during the workshop play 'Story of an Untitled Canvas', will also be rehearsed so that the participants can get to know the structure and construction process closely. This play has been written and directed by Sudeep Sohoni.
