Dead body found under dump truck in auto repair lot, Fargo police say

FARGO – Police officers were dispatched about 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, to a Fargo auto repair lot following the discovery of a dead body.

Sgt. Jim VanLith said the body was found underneath a dump truck behind Bilal Auto Repair Workshop, 1902 1st Ave. S.

The sergeant described it as an unattended death. He said it was too early in the investigation to say whether the death was suspicious.

Police didn’t immediately know the cause of death, and the person's identity was not released.

Yellow tape was set up around several vehicles, and officers were investigating the area.
