Abu Dhabi: Following four successful editions, the annual Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy (FBMA) International Show Jumping Cup returns taking place from the March 1-3 at Al Forsan International Sports Resort.
The three-day free to attend event is held under the patronage of Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the UAE General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairperson of Family Development Foundation and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and directives from Sheikha Fatima Bint Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy and president of the Abu Dhabi and the Al Ain ladies clubs.
This year’s edition builds on the legacy of the event and is expected to see increased interest from international equestrian communities and higher participation numbers than previous years. Over 120 participants are expected to showcase their skills and compete in the various categories (CSIL2*, CSIYH1* incl. 8YO, CSICH-a and CSJI-A) towards the prestigious prizes.
The Cup highlights Abu Dhabi’s international contribution and commitment to sporting events in the UAE. It furthers the overall vision of FBMA, to encourage Emirati women to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle. Aiming to instill the values of sport in the local community, the event hosts a large number of local talent and aspires to increase Emirati women’s participation in sporting events.
To add to attendees’ experience, the organizers, FBMA, are bringing back the very popular Equestrian Village, a fun family zone that consists of equestrian themed games for kids.
