For the first phase of installation of this system six crossing of the town has been chosen. This is first time when this signal system is going to be installed in this town and the NTPC is going to provide this system to police department soon. It was informed by SP Hazaribagh Anoop Birthare while talking to the local newsmen here on Monday.

Birthare said that the police and district administration were trying to solve the traffic problem of the town since long. “For installation of traffic signal system we had sent a detailed proposal to the state government earlier but no result came, so we started trying alternate and fortunately NTPC came ahead and is going to provide us the electronic traffic system soon,” he said.

In Hazaribagh town the number of vehicles is increasing daily multiplying the traffic problems for the general people every day. When our proposal of installation of traffic signal system got no response from the state government level then we requested the local officials of national thermal power corporation working in its Hazaribagh unit. They not only accepted the proposal but immediately sent it to their higher officials for approval and now they have got the approval.

For the first phase six points of the town have been selected to install electronic traffic signal system. These points are Jhanda Chowk, Indrapuri Chowk, PTC Chowk, Annada Chowk, Bansi Lal Chowk and court crossing road.

Birthare further said that after the completion of the first phase we will start work on second phase. He said that we are also planning to start special traffic awareness program for the general people of Hazaribagh.
