A worker was killed and some others were injured when a part of wall near Customs office at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital collapsed on them on Tuesday morning.
Airport Police Station OC Nure Azam said some workers were wounded as a portion of wall collapsed around 10:45am while construction work of drainage line was underway.
Fire Service duty officer Ataur Rahman said being informed, five fire fighting units rushed to the spot and are trying to remove the collapsed wall and to rescue the workers.
The injured were taken to Bangladesh Medical College where the on-duty doctors declared worker Mostafa dead.
