judge grants bail to university student
Bhopal:Additional District and Sessions Judge Shiv Balak Singh granted bail to the student of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University in the case related to extorting money from Congress MLA Hemant Katare.The bail plea of the student was declined earlier but this time her plea was accepted. She would be released from jail on Tuesday.In the whole episode role of police remains dubious as the girl student was caught after Katare lodged complaint but on the complaint of the student, Katare is yet to be arrested.
Tech Education Dept paid fees of Rs 54.62-cr
Bhopal:The Technical Education Department has paid fees of Rs 54.62 crore of 27,515 students of various courses under Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana. Total approved applications are 27,575.Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Technical Education Deepak Joshi has given the information that the fees of Rs 8 lakh of two students of IIM, Rs 1.57 crore of 288 Technical Education students, Rs 40.73 lakh of 32 students of IISER, NIFT and SPA, Rs 1.20 crore and 80,557 of 178 students of these institutes outside Madhya Pradesh, Rs 40.73 lakh of 29 CLAT students, Rs 38.51 lah of 28 students from private colleges outside Madhya Pradesh, Rs 38.63 crore of 631 medical students selected by NEET, Rs 10.85 crore of 26005 students of higher education besides 1.85 crore fees of 322 students of other subjects has been paid.
tiger estimation begins in all tiger reserves
Bhopal:The first phase of All India Tiger Estimation (AITE) began today in all tiger reserves of the State. For the next seven days in this phase, the direct counting of pug marks of tigers, leopards and other wild animals and herbivorous animals will be conducted.A study of habitat of wild animals, food availability and plants etc. will also be conducted. Volunteers from various states along with forest officers/ employees are also taking part in the counting. The counting will be held in 4 phases from February 5 to March 26.Volunteers and subject experts of various states including Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh etc are taking part in the National Tiger Census. Volunteers have been trained before counting. They include women and senior citizens also. The volunteers desirous of taking part in the next phase can get registered on the Forest Department website. The decision to include Volunteers has been taken to ensure participation of general public in wild life management, increase quality of collected figures and bring about transparency.
Peasants stage dharna at ntpc
Narsinghpur:Several peasants today reached the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) plant at Gadarwara and staged a 'dharna' in support of their demands.The protest comes in the wake of senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yashwant Sinha's four-day agitation in Narsinghpur concluding last evening. On the occasion, peasant leader Shivkumar Sharma had announced that Gadarwara plant officials had acceded to certain demands. Senior BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha who also took part in the agitation last evening urged agriculturists to conclude their protest at the Collectorate office and continue their protest at Gadarwara. He declared that a massive agitation would be staged in New Delhi on February 23 if the demands of farmers are not met.
Campion school bags bronze medal
Bhopal:Aradhya of Campion school primary section performed well in the ‘MP State Karate Championship 2018’ and bagged one Bronze medal. He was also awarded with ‘Certificate of Merit’ along with a trophy respectively.This Championship 2018 was organised by Madhya Pradesh Karate Association, Recognized by MP Government and MP Olympic Association; Member of Karate Association of India. This Four days Competition is hosted by Khel Karate Association, Ujjain and held recently at Ujjan.Principal Fr Athnas Lakra, SJ, Vice-Principal Fr Ajay Kerketta, Headmistress Sr Pramla AC and Teacher Nita Paul congratulated student Aradhya on his excellent performance in this championship and gave their best wishes for future competitions.
