THRISSUR: Police have remanded Mithun alias Swami, who allegedly beat up a youth, who went to question him for harrassing his sister.
 
He has been remanded to 14 days judicial custody.
 
The other day he reached in front of the girl's house slit his wrist vein with the intention to commit suicide.
 
Iringalakkuda Magistrate later reached Thrissur Jubilie Mission hospital and remanded the accused in the related case.
 
Iringalakkuda CI said tha he would be shifted to Iringalakuda subjail as and when he is discharged.
 
The incident related to the case took place on last Sunday at round 6 pm. Auto-driver Mithun used iron rod to reportedly smash Korumbissery native Puthukattil Sujith's head. Both had clashed earlier also as Mithun went about wooing his aunt's daughter.
