Justin Timberlake performs at the Super Bowl LII halftime show in Minneapolis. Despite swirling rumors, Janet Jackson said she would not be performing with Timberlake. The duo’s last Super Bowl appearance was in 2004, when Timberlake ripped off Jackson’s bodice, revealing her right breast. Both stars apologized for the incident, but the repercussions affected Jackson’s career and radio airplay.

There’s been a call to Twitter for a Janet Jackson appreciation day, and filmmaker and former NFL Matthew Cherry started the #JanetJacksonAppreciationDay hashtag.
