Professorship for Experimental Ophthalmology (W2)

The person to be appointed will represent the subject in research and teaching. It is expected that the appointee strengthens the faculty's research foci with particular regard to the research focus `Medical Optics and Photonics'.
Competitive candidates will possess relevant experiences in the field of retinal physiology and pathophysiology. Scientists, engineers as well as physicians are invited for application.

Requirements include a postdoctoral thesis (Habilitation) or equivalent scientific qualification, teaching skills as well as the willingness to develop and advance the medical education at JUH. The candidate should have an outstanding track record in publications and extramurally funded research.
In case of a candidate's first professional appointment the initial contract to this tenure position is limited in time by law (§ 79 (2) ThürHG). Exceptions to the rule are possible.
